The 75th Berlinale announced its full line-up this morning and it is fair to say: we are excited. Mise en cinematic will attend the German prestige festival and take you along to talk about it. this years festival is Offering an extraordinary selection of films across its sections. From the competition for the Golden and Silver Bears to the star-studded offerings of the Berlinale Special. We gathered some of the highlights for you.

The Competition section presents 19 films from 26 countries, including world premieres, dramas, satires, and tributes to cinematic masters. Eight of the films are directed or co-directed by women. Here is the full list of this years front-runners for the golden bear:

A selection of 21 films from 16 countries, the Berlinale Special varies from popular genre films to must-watch documentaries. as someone who belongs to the people who is eagerly waiting to see mickey-17, I may not have biased view or be able to choose favorites. but overall This year’s program looks promising.
It also includes a tribute to Tilda Swinton, recipient of the 2025 Honorary Golden Bear. The films presented in the section of the berlinale special are the following:
